Western TV
In late 2018, Western TV, a media division of The Western Gazette (a student newspaper at Western University) in London, Ontario wanted their branding to be more modern across their social media.

Background
Heading into season 6 of Western TV, the production team wanted a complete rebrand from season 5 across Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and video assets. They had already established that they wanted teal, marble as a texture, the font Avenir, and geometric shapes such as circles, triangles, crosses, and lines to be implemented.
It was important to the production team that the overall rebrand provided a fresh and modern update to Western TV.
For this rebrand, boxes were layered together to subtly reference computer browsers and halftone was used to add depth and texture to posts without overwhelming them. More saturated versions of teal were used to add freshness to the rebrand.
Overall, I wanted to keep the assets for this rebrand simple so that variation can be created within a series of posts while maintaining the Western TV brand across all the social media platforms being used.
This rebranding project took 3-4 weeks.

I did a redesign of Western TV’s logo by including elements from its predecessors. The circular shape was brought back as it translated better on social media, but the modern look from the word logo was still maintained for the present redesign. Teal, marble, and geometric shapes were used to maintain the overall branding across all Western TV platforms.
